WMP issue with playing DVD's

I can no longer play DVD's with Windows Media Player (have tried 9, 10 & 11). The Web Help click off of the generic error window says that I have a C00D116C error. There is not additional help from Microsoft.

I have tried a million things without success.

Any help out there?

Download Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility to determine if you have an MPEG2 decoder installed (to decode DVDs). If not, install one. It's included in many codec packs (try custom installing one).
