Hi all, i've downloaded 2 video clips. one is in rmvb format and another i dont know. i've tried using G spot to determine their file types but it says unknown file type.
i've mpc and real alt installed. but just cant seem to play the rmvb file.

it was fine with my other computer. oh and i realised. The mpc is missing one renderer which is Hali's renderer. it seems to be missing.help pls thanks.

1) Read the help that comes with Real Alt. Hint: rename to .rm

2) Haali renderer is not included with MPC. It is not missing. You don't need it. It requires Haali Media Splitter to be installed and also a powerful graphics card.

MAke sure MPC is associated with real media files. under view..options..formats
place checkmark for real audio file, real media file, Other and
Quicktime file (good idea especially if have quicktime alternative installed too!)

Keep in mind, Real Alternative pack won't play all real media files so can always use Real Player if still having problems. Just make sure you don't have both installed or you will have conflicts. wink.gif
