Problems playing Video

Hi Guys,

my problem: Video is not playing. G-Spot says:

Video: Codec is div3
Name: Divx Low-motion
Stat.: Codecs are installed

Audio: 0x0055 (Mp3, Iso) Mpeg "2,5" Layer 3
Stat.: Codecs are installed

Container:
Open DML (Avi v. 2.0)
Interleave 52 ms (1.6 v. frames) preload = 313
Audio Frames: Split across interleaves
File truncated 4.57 mb are missing

I understand so far that this video is not complete. But I dont understand, that it was working, when I had the ACE Mega Codec Pack 6.03 Prof on my PC. I uninstalled this pack, because of some problems and downloaded the codecs I needed, detecting them with G-Spot. (Thank you, euromix)There must be something on ACE, what made this video going.
Maybe somebody can help me here. I appreciate every advice.

I have installed this codec and all media types being palyed without problems (except mov files.. here you need Quick Time) wink.gif

What kind of player do you use for playing this AVI?

The official DivX Player (included in DivX Free 5.2.1) usually plays partial AVIs.
Also try AVI Preview.

And finally, DivFix can solve the problem, correcting frames. (make a backup copy of the .avi before applying)

Hi,

dont know what to do to fix it, when the DIvFix dont work. But if you want to watch it full, install VLC Player (opens most videos, even when not complete).

Hi rockmex6!

I just realized you've another problem rolleyes.gif
So, to decide whether it is a proper AVI or not, run GSpot and render the file.
Can try AVIcodec as well.

The best software personally for me is DivX 5.2. You can get 5.2.1 but 5.2 has less bugs. smile.gif
