I have a movie clip [AVI type] whose audio track will not play.
My DivX movie player [version 6.4.1.26] displayed a specific message that I needed to install a "Dolby AC3 Audio (code "8192") format DirectShow decoder."
I have downloaded and installed AC3 filter_1_11, to no apparent effect.
Is there a simplified solution as to obtaining the correct decoder that will do the job?"

It should work, but you may want to try another player since DIVX doesnt support AC3 audio.

I installed the AC3 filter and it didn't work in DivX for me either, but it did fix the sound issue I was having with Windows Media Player.
