Why K-Lite Mega Codec 1.66 cannot be installed on Windows 98 SE? problem with updating the codecs

Does anyone know why the latest version cannot be installed on Windows 98 SE despite the fact that the relevant description does not inform about it? Simply the installation cannot be completed and there is no information about irrelevant operating system. Does it mean a definite 'good-bye' for all users of the operating system I mentioned? I hope not.

It should work on Windows 98. Does something go wrong during installation? Please be more specific.

LIkely doesn't support old OS like WIN98SE which is gradually being discontinued. Most software developers are only focusing on WINXP/2000 and VISTA. May want to upgrade your OS or find an older version.
