I have an avi-file with soundproblems.
Gspot says:
Videocodec: Xvid
Audiocodec: MPEG-1 Layer 3
I have installed the lastest K-lite codec pack!
I can hear the Backgroundsound such as gunfire, music ect, but when they are talking in the movie the sound is very low. The talking-sound is almost gone.
Any solutions?? Please help!

I am having the same problem. In Windows media player, everything is fine, however, in MPC, Voice volume is far too low and background and music is too high. Can anyone explain the problem or fix? using the latest k-lite codec pack klcodec325s.exe however, I noticed the problem also exists with the XP codec pack.

The link I have for the FAQ (http://finalbuilds.edskes.net/faq.htm) does not have any information about the problem I am describing.
(edit: I see now you mean your FAQ. I'll give it a try, but I dont understand why everything is fine in WMP and not MPC
