Hi guys, I've tried Folder Lock to lock my files but I realize that it doesn't work at all, has many bugs. I've tested out it's protection, but it doesn't have any! I try to search for files that I put in the locker, and it was visble! That's not security at all.. So I was wondering is there any good software out there to lock my folder or hide it? without it being visible if someone go to the search box from windows. Thank you for your help

Hey there! Thank you so much for the reply, is this actually a good program? Or is it like the other crappy ones that ppl can find using the search from windows? Good secure protection? Once again, thanks

Sounds like you need Folder Guard to hide and keep folders away from prying eyes. I personally just use multiple user accounts and password-protect my archived data (RAR/ZIP volumes) on my external hard drive.
Never used Folder Guard but worth a try anyway.

why to use software to lock folder when u can easily lock without software
i describe the procedure here
http://101pctricks.blogspot.com/2008/03/fo...t-software.html
Open Notepad and copy the code given at above link and save as locker.bat. At first time start it will create folder with Locker automatically for u. Don't forget to change your password in the code its shown the place where to type your password.
after creation of Locker folder again click on the locker.bat.it will ask.press Y then Locker folder will be disappeared.again to get it click on locker.bat. and give ur password u will get the folder again.

Sure, I guess you could use the manual file and folder hiding methods. Yet I can tell you from experience that they don't protect like Folder Vault does. Not to mention the time a software program saves me. I have to lock my files a few times a day due to my profession. I personally have tried many of them but folder vault seems to work great and is the best priced.
