I am hoping that someone can help with this question. I can play ape files and dts/wav files with K-lite mega codec V1.71. But I have been encountered problems in playing these two types of audio files with newer versions such as v2.25, v2.20, v2.10 than v1.71. Could someone show me how to set the configuration? I have tried default/play only/play minimal. But no luck so far. Thanks.

Those formats play fine for me with the latest version of mega. What kind of problems are you having?
For .ape you need to select "Monkey's Audio".
For .dts files you need "AC3/DTS Source" and AC3Filter/ffdshow.
For .wav files you don't need anything special.
I have only encountered 1 file once that didn't play properly in MPC, but worked ok in WMP. That was a .dts file containing spdif audio data.

More specifically, my problem is this. With post 1.71 versions of K-lite mega codec, MPC does not seem to find the right codec for ape files, even though I checked "DC-Bass Source" during installation. So there is an error message of something like "the file cannot be decoded." This problem is caused by the replacement of the previous Monkey audio codec with DC-Bass Source. Can someone help with some guide for the configuration of DC-Bass Source? Thanks!

DC-Bass is from the same maker as the old filter that was used before in KLCP. There is nothing to configure for it. It should just work. Maybe you got something conflicting installed.
