Vista Explorer Crashing when right click on Media File with KLCP Vista Crashes when right click on KLCP media file

Why does my Vista Explorer crash when i right click on a Media File to do with K-lite Codec pack
It says "Windows Explorer has stop working"



this does not seem to affect FLACS but does affect MP3s and AVI's

Does any1 else have this problem?

Disabling thumbnails will probably solve this. See the K-Lite FAQ.

Tried it this also crashes on MOV files

3rd party shell extensions can cause your Vista Windows Explorer to crash on certain actions. A handy
free utility can allow you to view context menu shell extensions and disable them:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/shellexview.html

Also, make sure you have no illegal characters or overlong filenames (esp. if downloaded stuff from web).
