Hi guys, I'm having some trouble removing the all in one codec pack.
I can get to the Add/Remove, uninstall, and it runs through, but during the process it tells me there's certain shared files on the machine which no other app seems to be using and whether I want to keep them or not. I have two options, keep, or remove.
Now I tried both options, but I still keep getting this problem.
When I try to install the official xvid codec, it tells me it can't access a file because of rights or it's been removed or something. I can remember the file name as one of the files the codec all in one pack said was shared and whether I wanted to remove it.
But like I mentioned, I have tried both options. Installing, uninstalling and keeping the shared files. Then reinstall, uninstall and this time removing the shared files. But I still get the same error when trying to the install the official xvid codec.
How can I completely remove this codec all in one pack with no trace and not leaving a mess behind?
I hope what I wrote does make sense. It's just very frustrating.
Thanks.

Go on the web andsearch for "The Uninstaller".
Its shareware and you can use the testversion for a while.
With this tool you should get rid of your unwanted file or programm.
Important : Use the "force to uninstall" mode.
Hope that is the solution.
