Definately best quality board is ASUS... pay a little premium for them, but they are rock solid and great for overclocking cool.gif

I have also used MSI, gigabyte mobos. Consider looking at CPU, what features you want, kind of chipset, budget when deciding what to get.

Hello,

I worked with ASUS, GigaByte, Biostar and Elitegroups mothers... I can tell you my subjective opinion...
ASUS works better than any mentioned above smile.gif with my experience

the best motherbord is NOT ASUS the best one is DFI.
Right now i got a asus bord : the fdd connector doesnt work any more, i normaly overclock my cpu but now i cant because if i overclock my motherbord wont see my hard drive!!!, by default in the Bios my cpu is at 2 ghz but it's a 2.2ghz 3500+ , ai booster is not stable ...
well i think that is a piece of crap. mellow.gif

i also got a x800gto2 that normaly run at 400mhz / 490mhz its overclock at 585mhz / 636 mhz (gpu/ram) tongue.gif
the temperature is 35 c in full load same thing for my cpu (i got a water cooling)

Its been well known for quite sometimes that DFI and Abit Mobo, are for the *spam*, games & overclocker, (DFI the LANParty) and Abit(the Maxx series, the Pro seriess and The Fatal1ty & the new one IN9) their board can bring the best out of cpu and memory, stability and the layout are cool. Asus also got their high end mobo jump in into gamer & overclockers, recently just released 3 of their R.O.G board, and trust me those board really overclock to the max, especailly their latest The comando. But if its up to me, I prefer The Extreme Striker.
