I see when you was to order a PC or laptop all you get to choose form is the Vista packages. Is there anyone out there that still likes XP over Vista?

My choice is XP, im going to use it as long as possible.
If you keep your old stuff and want to use Vista, you will probably need new components.
Buy a new pc ? Its always about money, your money.
Also they dont leave a chance to decide, Vista is on every new pc.
Who needs it ? I was happy even with win98 or winME, didnt really needed XP.
You will need a lot of resources for Vista. Who needs such a bloated OS ?
I dont understand why people support this. Just dont buy it.
Meanwhile I hope I can find a better OS. Would like to use Linux, but I know not much about it jet.

Could almost make this a poll if it wasn't just a two horse race.
I am dual booting WIN XP PRO X64 and Windows VISTA premium X86 right now. WINXP is about 15-20% faster so tells you something. VISTA is slow, bloated and full of eye candy... did manage to tweak it disabling services, UAC, removing bg. tasks, but still prefer WINXP PRo. However, 64bit software is not fully supported and available so doesnt win hands down, but still WINXP PRO gets my vote.

I just don't see what the big deal is about Vista. They bragged it up to the hills and they don't have anything with it...like games, programs etc. Still have to work the bugs out last I knew. I guess I'll always be an XP fan.

I heard that there will be no more updates for Windows XP home in 2008. They want ppl to convert to Vista.
Any truth to this?

I will stay with XP as long as I can,
I dont need this "new" and "nice" Vista,
well actually my pretty old lappy just cant take it, but if i would have brand new
computer which would run Vista very smoothly, I would try it out, but would
still stick to XP as long as possible

I like xp home over all the other windows operating systems, xp was for me the stablest and fastest one. Vista I didn`t tried, but everybody told me to not buy it cause those people who have it, things are not running good, and lots of problems.
Other then that, I use most time Linux, its the best for me.
So xp home and linux but never vista.
