i had a copy of one from september installed and it sounded awesome for MP3's but since i've updated to the latest from october it has only sounded terrible. does anyone have links to the latest MMX or SSE builds for september?
is it possible to use an older audio part and the newer video part? because i wish to stay being able to watch videos using the latest technology but don't wish to put up with the terrible audio.

ffdshow is for Windows only.
The only difference is the person who compiled it. So there is not really any difference. Functionality is the same.
