Version of QT codecs in QT alt 1.44 reported as 6.5.1.17 instead 6.5.2.10

i've just upgraded QT alt - first i unistalled old version and checked out if there - in plugins folder - hadn't left any old version of plugins and after installation my Firefoks reports all the plugins as 6.5.1.17...

to make it more strange - during installation it wanted to ad sytem startup key qttask /atboot - permanent process in the tray which consume the resources for nothing - one of the reasons that i changed QT for QT alt

Media Player Classic is OK - v. 6.4.8.4

what's up?

I think provides system tray access to Apple's Quicktime Player. I got the same one loaded in my startup and safely deleted it.

You can edit registry ...Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete the value pointing to qttask.exe. Another way is to use freeware program or MSCONFIG to edit startup entries.
