I used to be able to take screenshots in media player classic that were the correct resolution (720x540, 853x480) but now every image saves as 720x480. Keep in mind, the video I'm watching will display and playback at the correct resolution, so only with a snapshot does it come out wrong. I've even used third-party screencapture programs and the resolution still comes out messed up.
Choosing different DirectShow settings under Options/Playback/Output does not help. What does help is uninstalling and reinstalling, but if I make the slightest tweak in the options after that it goes back to always saving images at 720x480.
Any help or other freeware players I should use for viewing DVDs would be cool.

whose build of MPC are you using? and which version?
