VP7 codec for mac?

Hi, I'm using VLC on a macbook running Leopard. I've got a file which requires the VP7 codec (I know this because VLC told me). The sound plays but the video won't.

I've found places to download VP7, but only windows versions. Does anyone know if there's a mac version of this codec available?

many thanks in advance.

Goodness! Are all mac users this lazy?

Unfortunately for Mac users, this codec has zero Mac support

Otherwise get yourself a copy of MPlayer for your OS. It does not rely on your system for codecs. It's available on every popular OS. Not using the system popular with iTards everywhere I cannot speak to the performance of this particular build:

I use MPlayer myself, but on XP (because Vista is wholly unacceptable). I am able to play VP7 encoded media flawlessly.

YMMV
