Media Player Classic Has Stopped Working? Vista 32bit

Hi,
Just need some help identifying what could be wrong here.
Ive searched google but nothing ive read has helped.

I have a fresh install of Vista, updates installed and the new codecs pack with media player classic.
It was working fine yesterday then today when i start WMPC it comes up with the following boxes.

1. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Progra...
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Click OK.

2. Microsoft Windows
Media Player Classic has stopped working
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.
>Check online for a solution and close the program
>Close the program

Ok, so i uninstalled and reinstalled it.
No joy there.

Ok, ill try windows restore.
Didnt work either.

Ok, ill right click on WMPC shortcut and grant admin rights.. oops same error.
Ok, i give up.

Ok, an update.

I went into PC Tools Internet Security Suite and looked at applications listed, found WMPC and in the advanced settings of WMPC i noticed that 'Modify system and applications' for WMPC was set at Block so i changed it to Allow and now WMPC is working fine.

If it plays up again ill let you know.

Not bad for an 'Extremely Newbie' LOL

Ok , so where do I go if I dont have PC Tools Internet Security Suite ?

That ,PC Tools Internet Security Suite is not a program that came with XP.
