Hey All,
I hope someone can help me.
I make some NES and SNES video walkthroughs. I started a couple years ago, when I did I got and installed the avizlib codec I saw mentioned at tasvideos.org.
I don't know if its a lossless codec or not, but the recordings it makes look just like the game. I record the walkthroughs in avizlib to have a good quality original, then I convert it to various formats later.
Anyway, I've re-installed my computer and lost the codec. I can't really find just it. (Not from any sites I find trustworthy.)
I see there is a Ace Mega Codecs pack that has it, as well as a ton of others. Anyway, I installed it on my computer, and the avizlib works just fine for recording video, but it has all this other useless stuff and its own program to go with it, when all I want is that one codec.
So this is kind of the point of my question(s). I recently got a laptop, which I want to do the recordings on. I don't want to install the ace mega pack for that one codec. Is there anyway to move it over from my XP desktop to my Vista laptop? If so, how?
Or does anyone know of another good codec that is lossless or seems like lossless for recording nes/snes videos? (And also still lets my computer run fine.)
Thanks.
