Hi there,
it seems that with uninstalling of burning software (Roxio Creator) I also got rid of my CinePlayer DVD decoder :-( Could anyone please advise what sole DVD/MPEG decoder do I need to install to be able to play DVDs and MPEGs again? I am using Windows Media Player 11.0.6001.7000 under Windows Vista Business. Your help much appreciated! I would rather stay away from installing of codec packs and dont feel like paying USD 15.00 to get the CinePlayer back. Thank you!

Did I ask stupid question? I am going to buy the CinePlayer codec from Roxio. Fair enough:-)

If you want to pay, do it. However, you may try FFDShow + DScaler MPEG Filters (it has good reviews) first.

There is something you could try newbie, try this before buying anything please.
Go to google type in windows media player codec vista. then download it and install it. It helped me. I hope it helps you. please let me know if it helps.

But newbie if you give me away to contact you I will check and see if I have it. But. it will take me a little while to check both drives.
