I have an issue with my friends computer in regards to playing back FLV files using FFD Show. This problem doesn't occur on my other 2 PC's at all. What happends is that certain flv files will not playback in Media Player Classic at all, the file says it's Invalid and cannot render the file, an example is shown below as I try to play a music video:-

But the other music video shown here works perfectly

I did some more investigation as to why this might be and I found out that some flv files have been encoded with h264 shown in Media Codec and these are the ones that are refusing to play
The file that refuses to play in MPC

The file that does play in MPC

Here are a few other screencaps I have taken from his PC which are a concern as to why he may be having playback problems.

I've tried all the basic stuff, tweaked around with ffdshow's settings, tweaked with MPC's settings, Uninstalled them and reinstalled them both several times, updated Media Player, Updated Windows, used both old and upto date versions of MPC and FFdshow, used a few codec packs aswell, backed up the settings on my PC and imported them onto his and I still get the message 'cannot render the file' on these h264 encoded flv files. The only 2 things I haven't done is reformatted the PC or used another codec pack that doesn't use ffdshow.
Saying that, they do work with the latest version of FLV player but I hate using it because I find it far too CPU comsuming even for my upto date PC on certain flv files making the player and the PC too sluggish forcing me to watch the whole thing through or using task manager to stop it.
I have a Dell Optiplex (My more upto date pc isn't important in this subject) which is 400Mhz, 768MB Ram and the h264 encoded flv files worked perfcetly, my friend has an HP Pavilion 6712 with 667Mhz and 256MB (Should Be 512MB, different problem though) and the h264 encoded flv files refuse to work and sadly it has come to the point where I need some assistance to fix this problem. He does need a new pc but until then, I have to make do whenever I goto his house.
I download a lot of videos and MPC has the feature where you can capture the image, it's gonna be really irritating to convert all the files over to another format and I do other things on my PC and don't have much time to capture images from movies. If there's anything that can be done to get these h264 encoded flv files to work on his PC, please let me know.
