i trying to play an avi file but there is no video but audio work fine

Please Help Me Sir ????????

i had a similar problem with some avi files using winamp, windows media player and vlc. i had downloaded the k-lite mega codec pack as well. but my problem was with the settings of those media players. in winamp i had to go to video settings and uncheck the hardware video overlay button. in windows media player i had to go into options->performance and set the video acceleration to none. with vlc i either set the video options to directX (w/o hardware acceleration) or directX (no video overlay). that worked for me i dont know why, but maybe it will work for you.

check for directx and install divx software
