Hi ,
a little problem appeared. When watching the video everythings ok, using fast forward is not really working. It stopps a long time, then plays on.
That happens in every player (VLC, QT, WM10).
Gspot says video codec not installed. How can it play then the video?
Codec is MPEG2_Vid
Name is MPEG2
1.already SVCD Format
2.already SVCD Format
This happens only to Mpeg2. Its not that bad, because I can play them. But I would like to know, how I can fix it.
I use Cole2K Media advanced Codec Pack.
Ymeg 2.7 or BCMpeg doesnt help, I tried it. Is there a codec maybe for Mpeg 2 SVCD?
Thank you for any help!!!

Likely using another built-in codec. Best to use Intervideo/Cyberlink's MPG2 decoder for best quality and smooth playback.. i.e. WINDVD or PowerDVD.
Could use one MPEG2 decoders included with K-lite. Some people have success with Stinky's MPEG2 codec.

Thank you for advice.
Stinkys doesnt work for me.
I cant download K-Lite (same with Nimo), it fails everytime while installing. Thats why I chose Coles Pack.
I is there a source to download Intervideo/Cyberlink Mpeg 2, without installing a second codecpack?
Do you mean I should download WinDVD or PowerDVD, to get this codec?

Hi Tyler
How do you mean Stinky's MPEG-2 doesn't work? Can't install?
Another MPEG-2 Decoder choice is Elecard MPEG-2 Video Decoder Package, which includes the Elecard MPEG-2 Video Decoder v2.

Even Dscaler MPEG Filters, GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder or CDXA Reader can solve the problem.

It's strange, i can download them without problems.

Hi,
thank you all for your fast replying.
I installed Stinky first, then DScaler, then CDXA Reader, none of them fixed it.
At least Elecard Mpeg2 solved the problem. Everythings working fine and G Spot now says "Codecs installed".
I dont know why the Installation of K-Lite and Nimo fails, they would be my first choice. There always comes an error while installing. I dont remember the message. Its been a while ago, since my last attempt. If I try it again, I will post the error message.
Thank you!

I installed elecard mpeg 2 decoder and even gspot says the codec is installed. But when i play the video in windows media player 9 it plays the video though again the same problem of fast forward. If i try to skip it at some particular timeline windows media player hangs.
When i play the video with vlc media player it doesn't show the correct timeline even though it plays the complete video.
since this decoder worked for u so could u please give me some solution as to how to get this decoder working for me.Is it because i am using WMP 9 and not WMP 10 or the latest one.
