I had just finished working with Windows Movie Maker and had began using Windows DvD Maker when I wasn't able to get a .avi extension vid into my compilation. I looked it up, and as a result I ended up installing the K-lite Codec Pack.. Not knowing what to do with it, I uninstalled it. My DvD had finished Publishing (I no longer bothered with the video.avi), and I noticed that my movie was blank. I went back to Movie Maker and noticed that the parts that contained the scenes I put in were coming out plain black with no sound. I then decided to use system restore figuring that I had messed up with K-lite, nothing changed. I took a look at the files that I used to create the movie. They were all .mov extension. I download the G-Spot application and scanned it. It recognized the codec required as avc1. I followed the instruction on this site:

.. Oh and Hi, I'm Pulpish!

EDIT:
Ok I'm getting somewhere, I have video but no sound..
