How do I uninstall all old codecs?

Codecs.com says it's important to uninstall old codecs before installing the new codec package. But I can't find good instruction on how to do this. I searched on the site and the links that seemed promising were not helpful and/or mumbo-jumbo. I would like an easy, all-in-one uninstall function. Please advise.

Sometimes there is not an uninstall setting in the control panel, then you would need to manually remove each codec. The may be accessible from the devices panel. If not then you would need to contact the admin at the codecs.com page about a clean-up tool for the codec pack in question.

The K-Lite Codec Pack can automatically detect the codec related installations on your computer and gives you the ability to uninstall them. Works very easy.

You can also uninstall software through the Windows Control Panel.

Thanks very much. FYI I had already tried Windows Control Panel's uninstall page and device manager. Codecs don't show up anywhere. I'll try K-Lite.

Yeah, K-Lite Codec pack.

Use the Codec Tweak Tool, it'll find all the older versions, and delete them, plus any broken ones.

Just installing K-Llite will do the same, excellent package thumbsup.gif
