Dear All,
Yesterday I was still watching discovery, before I shut off my computer, I let Vista update some critical security patches.
And today I can't open any video clips with Media Player Classic anymore.
Any clue?
Thanks in advance.

I've had this problem since updating to K-Lite Codec Pack Full 5.7.0 .
I've uninstalled it, plus VLC, which is the only other Media Player I have, and are going to try going back to K-Lite Codec Pack 5.60 (Full) .
I use Win XP SP3.
Any ideas / feedback greatly appreciated .
First problem I've ever had with Media Player Cassic, quite a shock.
I feel some other programs has changed the Codecs maybe, such as a CD/DVD Burner installed yesterday, plus trying to remember any other changes I made, such as Updating SUPER © v2010.build.37 (Jan 2, 2010) which I very rarely use which just came to mind.
Maybe UnInstalling it also before installing KLite full package.
As the Forum isn't full of people complaining, this is the most likely source of change I think, the SUPER © v2010.build.37 (Jan 2, 2010) . Has to be a problem on my system, not the codec pack.
What a hassle

It has to be that last Windows Update...
I was watching videos right before the update, and then after... the player just keeps crashing.
I didn't change anything else.

I suspect it is this update:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/ms10-013.mspx
Re-registering quartz.dll might help.

This file was modified as part of the update.
I can restore to the previous version. But I don't think thisi s a wise solution because of the security risk.
