W97M.Spatch Macro Virus

W97M.Spatch is a macro virus that infects Microsoft Word documents and lowers the security level settings for macros.

Type: Macro, Virus

U see we need a forum for security and virus newz (warms, trojans and anti-trojans...)

All the people use some kind of antivirus programs (many of them Norton), and they are automatically notified about these warnings. I don't think we come here to see: wow, another virus, now i'll update my AV prog.
Also you only used copy->paste in your post (from: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen...97m.spatch.html ), with the very useful "Click here" links... but i wouldn't have clicked even if had been able to, cause i have my own AV Software, just like most of the users here i think...
But! Feel free to make a topic: "Antivirus/Virus Updates" and you may list these infos there.
Or just leave a link: www.symantec.com...

Yeh I only used copy->paste in my post but u can read blink.gif the source name in the end of the post "Source: Symantec" and "Write-up by: Candid Wueest" anyway I will do by ur advice and thanks... ohmy.gif
