Hi Everyone.

I am trying to find out how to see which codecs I have installed on my PC. I'm running XP pro, sp2.

I知 hoping to remove any dups that could be causing problems (after real player went a bit nuts on the last update).

After uninstalling it, I知 now getting some problems playing files from WMP which had worked before.

I can't find anything in the control panel, so I was looking for a program that I could use.

Also can anyone point me to some guides on best practice where codecs are concerned? I have been going along the line that you cannot have too many codecs, but after reading a few blogs, I知 no longer sure this is the best practice.

Any help gratefully received.

PenPal.

Sherlock is what you need.

Yes, to see which codecs are installed on your PC, download Sherlock or GSpot.

And i suggest, read the pinned topic about the complete removal of RealPlayer or RealOne.
