Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum & I've a problem hoping any of the experts over here can help me....
I've a movie & when I played it with Media Player, the sound seems to be lagging about a few seconds than the video stream.
I've used G-Spot to gather more info & under the container block, I got this msg "Interleave: 1 vid frame (33ms),preload=1044, Audio frames:Split across interleaves,File Length Correct"
Is there any one who have come across this issue before & resolved this? If so, pls kindly enlighten me..... Thks....

Hi!
Probably you've the necessary audio/video codecs i guess when you can play it (it's an AVI isn't it?), but didn't post it in GSpot report. Hope you've things like AVIsplitter and the appropriate codecs.
"audio: Split across interleaves" means it contains audio frames as parts (partial) in the AVI so the audio is split but i think should play fine.
Maybe you should try with another player and FFDShow (do you have a slower PC btw?), also see the other "out of sync" topics.
And is this a downloaded file? can be badly encoded.....
At worst you could re-encode and manipulate the video/audio.

Hi Chp bro,
Thks for the pointers given.I've done a sweep on my computer & re-install all the codecs. Currently the codecs in my computer is as what is posted under (Pinned:Guide to using codecs by Mischcabob.) I follow the guide given & install only the codecs I need.
After all this, I gave this avi clip another try by using G-Spot v2.21. Rendering report shows Directshow able to play the file & again,I tried playing the file using the associated player as suggested by G-Spot but the file is still lagging in the sound.
From the pointers you had given,I think the problem lies in the movie I've downloaded. So, as mentioned in your last sentence "At worst you could re-encode and manipulate the video/audio." May I seek your advice again on how what software to use for the re-encoding?
Thks again man.... Cheers to this forum.....

In this particular case and with this particular file... don't know. Maybe with TMPGEnc (can edit audio-video by double-clicking Setting/Advanced/Source Range) or in VirtualDub..
