Media Player Classic [SOLVED] Capturing images

I'm trying to take screenshots (File/Save Image) of some of my movies in Media Player Classic, but it keeps giving me this error, "GetCurrentImage failed, hr = 8000ffff."

Does anyone know what this means? Does anyone know how I can fix this problem so that I can take screenshots?

An illustrated guide has been added in Guides section. See How to capture images from movies using Media Player Classic

Should work with MPC. I tested it using 6.4.8.4 which I believe is the latest. Do you have latest DirectX9.0C installed? Just matter of playing video and pausing it.
Click File.. SaVE IMAGE...

Here's a screenshot of The Incredibles I did moments ago:

Number of downloads: 2900

P.S. Under options..playback.. output, the normal setting is SYSTEM DEFAULT.
However, it won't work for all filetypes. wink.gif

Yes, you probaby will need DirectX9b at least.
And check out the rendering/overlay settings. You may not be able to save images in some cases but you can change these options in MPC if you click Options under View drop down menu.
See the image.

hmm I'm trying to capture some screenshots as well, and the error message I get is the same, except that the hr code = "80004002"
Does anybody know if this is any different from 8000ffff?

I tried the solution in chp's image, but I am already using a DirectShow Output renderer that doesn't have the * next to it (* says saving images doesn't work). I am actually using Media Player Classic Homecinema version v1.0.11.0.

Hmm...might be because I'm trying to save from a mp4 file. I just tried with an mkv and there are no problems...
