Hi!
You need MPEG-1 and/or MPEG-2 decoders to play those files. Download FFDShow, it'll do the job.

Excuse me..., what's 'WMP' ? Do you mean WMV ? What's the extension of the file?

Okay
Is Windows Media Player 9series or 10 installed on your system? If not, download it from the Microsoft homepage, it comes with its codecs.
And there is a tool: AVIcodec.
Can analyze your WMVs & give information about codecs you need to play the file.

Hello, if you save only Avseq01.dat file (from the cd that cannot be read) to a usb flash memory stick, then try to open the avseq01.dat file from the stick with wmplayer will recognize it, codec automatically will be downloaded from the internet and from that moment your wmplayer will recognize all dat files from cds. best regards.
